Moving to a new city is exciting, but the first two days can feel like a whirlwind. Between unpacking boxes and finding the TV remote, you need a game plan. At The Hudes Group, we want your first 48 hours in Aliso Viejo to be stress-free. Here is your quick guide to settling in like a pro.
Fuel Up and Find Your Caffeine
Before you tackle those kitchen boxes, you’ll need energy. Head over to the Vantis neighborhood. For the best local coffee, stop by Seven Seas Roasting Company. It’s a favorite for many families. If you prefer a classic latte, there is a Starbucks in the Barnes and Noble located in the Aliso Viejo Town Center and it is a great spot to people-watch and get a feel for the neighborhood vibe.
The Grocery Strategy
You’re going to need snacks and supplies. On a busy Saturday, the Whole Foods on Aliso Creek Road is beautiful, but it can get crowded. For a faster trip, we recommend the Ralphs in the Aliso Viejo Plaza. It is usually much quieter, meaning you can get in and out with your groceries in half the time! There is also a Trader Joe’s conveniently located to the Aliso Viejo Town Center as well!
Take a "Quiet" Break
If the house feels too noisy with all the moving commotion, head to the Aliso Viejo Library on Journey. It just had its grand reopening in March 2026, and the remodel is incredible! It’s the perfect, peaceful place for the kids to pick out some books while you use the free Wi-Fi to set up your new utilities.
The Hudes Edge: Explore the Outdoors
Once the sun starts to set, it’s time to see why we love living here. Our team provides every client with a "New Neighbor" kit. Inside, you’ll find custom maps to the best hidden trailheads in Wood Canyon. These secret spots are perfect for a family hike to clear your head after a long day of moving.
Welcome home to Aliso Viejo! We are so glad you’re here.
